A beautiful kingfisher with dichroic wings. The background is made from a piece of vanilla streaky Bullseye glass where the bird was cut out of and then coloured glass was placed in the opening together with dichroic glass for the wings. This panel was then assembled in the kiln and a sheet of plain glass was placed on top, together with green stringers.
A border of plain glass was added to give the effect of a frame. The two sheets of glass are then fused together in my kiln.
The finished glass panel is supplied with a custom made oak stand.
The glass panel measures approximately 24cm x 24cm. 9.5 inch x 9.5 inch
